Salary: £95-100 per day (Level 2)

A school in Plymouth, are seeking a committed, enthusiastic and caring level 2 teaching assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children''s learning and development in a dynamic school environment. 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across a range of abilities, contributing to both their academic progress and personal growth. This full-time role is ideal for someone who wants to make a real difference in the classroom.

You will work under the direction of class teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to deliver high-quality support both in and outside of the classroom. This includes working 1:1 with pupils, supporting small groups, and providing general classroom assistance. You may also be involved in delivering specific interventions, supporting literacy and numeracy development, and helping children with additional needs access the curriculum.

• Supporting teaching and learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher

• Providing targeted support to individuals or small groups of pupils

• Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

• Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment

• Helping pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum

• Supporting with supervision during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips

• Contributing to record-keeping and observations where required

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Experience working with children in a school or early years setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:

£95 - £100 per day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Level 2 Health and Social Care / Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning / Level 2 Childcare.
