A welcoming mainstream primary school in Wantage is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to play an essential role in the classroom, helping pupils to thrive both academically and socially.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide support across the curriculum, assisting with group work, one-to-one interventions, and ensuring all pupils are fully engaged in their learning. This role is ideal for someone with prior classroom experience, but the school is also open to candidates looking to begin their career in education with a proactive and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 or with small groups, assisting with phonics and numeracy tasks
• Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils'' personal development

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (desirable but not essential)
• Be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Show a genuine passion for education and a willingness to learn
