Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Wigan to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a long-term sickness cover role.

Role Details

Position: Year 1 Teacher

Location: Wigan

Start Date: After October half term (Ongoing)

Commitment: 5 days a week (Full-Time)

Pay Rate: Competitive daily rates (dependent on main pay scales)

Key Requirements

Qualification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent experience teaching Key Stage 1.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

You must have the legal right to work in the UK

Phonics Training: The ideal candidate will be Read Write Inc. (RWI) trained to support the school''s phonics curriculum effectively.

Commitment: Available to work full-time (Monday to Friday) on an ongoing long-term basis.

Passion: A creative, engaging teaching style with strong behaviour management and a collaborative approach to school life.
