Salary: £1,500 - £2,100 per month (based on 15 hours per week)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with local authorities and specialist education providers across Leicester to recruit experienced Tutors. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils who are unable to access mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH, physical disabilities, medical needs or other barriers to learning.

The successful Tutor will provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged pupils, typically delivering around 3 hours of tutoring per day. Sessions may take place within the child''s home, a local education centre or a library. You will tailor learning to individual needs, deliver Maths, English and Functional Skills sessions, create scaffolds to support learning and use Pre-Key Stage assessments to monitor progress.

The successful Tutor will have:

• QTS or a minimum of 6 months'' tutoring or 1:1 intervention experience
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or complex needs
• Strong knowledge of Maths, English and Functional Skills
• Experience planning and adapting learning for individual learners
• Knowledge of Pre-Key Stage assessment and small-step progression
• A patient, resilient and child-centred approach
