Salary: £170 - £250 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming community Primary School in South Manchester, who are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher for their Year 1 class. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, the school is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership team and commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Primary Teacher on a long-term basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Primary Teacher. The successful Primary Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Year 1 lessons, with a strong focus on phonics, early reading development and maintaining high standards of classroom learning and behaviour.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Proven experience delivering phonics programmes and supporting early reading development
• Excellent knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong classroom management skills
• A positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching
