They are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September. This is a great opportunity for an experienced educator or an enthusiastic ECT ready to take on the important role of guiding pupils through the final stage of Key Stage 1.
The Role:
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial part in developing pupils'' core skills in literacy and numeracy while preparing them for their transition to Key Stage 2. You''ll be responsible for delivering well-structured, engaging lessons and supporting pupils through their end-of-KS1 assessments in a calm and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and teach high-quality lessons based on the Year 2 national curriculum
Prepare pupils for KS1 SATs with clear objectives and supportive strategies
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Track and assess pupil progress to inform planning and interventions
Maintain strong communication with parents and carers
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and consistency
Contribute to the wider school community through events, training, and enrichment
What We''re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in KS1, preferably Year 2
Solid understanding of phonics and the Year 2 assessment framework
Excellent communication and classroom management skill
