A thriving, forward-thinking primary school in Chesham is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their committed team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who brings energy, high expectations, and a nurturing approach to help pupils grow in confidence and prepare for the challenges of Year 6 and beyond.
About the Role:
- A committed Key Stage 2 teacher with a passion for engaging and motivating Year 5 pupils
- A high-expectations practitioner with strong classroom management skills
- Proven experience in collaborative teaching environments, such as job shares or team teaching
- Skilled in differentiating instruction to effectively support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Solid knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, with particular strength in reading, writing, and mathematics
- Confident in working alongside Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to promote inclusive teaching practices
- A reflective and flexible professional dedicated to ongoing development and improvement
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
- A current DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Demonstrated experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably within a Year 5 classroom
- A genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of young learners
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils
