Salary: £29,344–£44,919
From the moment you arrive on Monday morning, you will have a clear understanding of your role and the school’s expectations. Lessons start promptly, routines are well established, and pupils are familiar with classroom procedures before you even begin teaching.
Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality teaching rather than managing behaviour.
Role SummaryThroughout the week, you will teach mixed-ability classes, delivering structured and purposeful lessons that emphasise clarity, consistency, and measurable progress. Your planning will be purposeful and student-centred, designed to ensure pupils understand what they are learning and why it matters.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis role centres on professional teaching practise. You will:
- Plan and deliver lessons with clear learning objectives
- Establish calm, predictable classroom routines
- Communicate expectations clearly and consistently
- Adapt teaching to meet individual learner needs, providing support or challenge as appropriate
- Assess pupils’ work regularly and use feedback to promote progress
- Maintain accurate records of attainment and engagement
- Contribute actively to planning discussions and curriculum development
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning
- Experience supporting primary-aged pupils
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Clear and confident spoken English
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners
- Organised and reliable work ethic
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred — unqualified teachers are encouraged to apply
