Supply Desk is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Berkhamsted. This full-time position is available from September and offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where staff are passionate about delivering high-quality education.

The ideal candidate will be a committed classroom practitioner with a passion for inspiring young learners and a drive to make a real difference in their education.



Job Description:


  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL.
  • Establish a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour, progress, and achievement.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative and supportive learning community.
  • Participate actively in school life, including meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching accordingly.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for all children.



Our Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Hold UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Have experience teaching in a UK primary school (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Be a motivated and reflective practitioner with a child-centred approach.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be confident in using formative and summative assessment to drive pupil progress.
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Be proactive, flexible, and eager to contribute to the wider school community.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a clear Enhanced DBS check.
