Salary: M1–UPS3 (£34,398–£52,490)

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate EYFS / KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in St Albans for a full-time, one-term position starting in September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community and make a meaningful impact in an Early Years Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1 classroom. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that inspire young learners, foster a love of learning and support pupils'' academic, social and emotional development.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for an EYFS or KS1 class in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and the National Curriculum.
• Support pupils'' academic, social and emotional development through high-quality teaching and learning.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and parents/carers to support pupils'' learning and development.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
• Uphold the school''s safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive excellent support.
• Experience teaching in EYFS or Key Stage 1 is desirable.
• A secure understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and/or the National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
