Supply Desk is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 2 primary teacher in the Slough area, who is dedicated to academic excellence, fostering a positive learning environment, and equipping children with essential life skills to help them become confident and independent learners.
About the Role:
- Establish high and clear expectations for studentsandrsquo; learning, behavior, and quality of work
- Maintain effective discipline by following guidelines outlined in the staff handbook and other relevant policies
- Collaborate closely with Learning Support Assistants assigned to teaching groups
- Prepare and set work for students absent due to health or disciplinary reasons
- Reflect on and evaluate teaching practices to enhance effectiveness
- Participate in assessment cycles, including gathering effort and attainment data and contributing to reports, as directed by the academy
- Attend designated parentsandrsquo; evenings to communicate student progress and engage with families
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a current valid DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Possess QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Able to provide employment references covering the past two years
- Demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education
- Previous experience teaching at the primary school level
