About the Role

A 2 form entry Primary school in the wider Chichester area is seeking a Year R teacher andnbsp;starting January 2026. This is a role with full class teacher responsibilities, initially for two terms on a fixed term contract but could be extended into the following academic year.

You will be responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a Year R class, working closely with the other Year R teacher to plan for continuous provision and phonic lessons . The role includes full teaching responsibilities and offers the opportunity to contribute to wider school life.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For

• Qualified Primary Teacher with experience Teaching Year R children
• Confident in managing classroom routines and expectations in a continuous provision setting.
• Good behaviour management techniques.
• Skilled in adapting teaching to meet a range of pupil needs, including SEND.

Requirements

• UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Compliance with DfE and Safer Recruitment standards.
