The appointed candidate will predominantly work with our younger children (aged 8 to 11). Due to the nature of our provision these pupils are working at EYFS/KS1 level - it would therefore be highly advantageous if you have existing knowledge, experience and/or awareness around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Key responsibilities of the position will include creating a learning culture and experience for pupils who find it a challenge to engage with a full programme of onsite learning, and to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to reengage them with onsite learning. You will also assist in the managing and developing of a given class and/or a group of pupils, contribute to an appropriate environment for pupil learning and ensure high levels of engagement with staff, pupils, parents and the wider learning communities. QTS is an essential requirement for this role.
