Start: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)
A specialist SEND / SEMH school provision across Suffolk / North Essex is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children who require a highly structured, nurturing, and flexible approach to learning.
The role is ideal for someone who understands that progress in this environment is built on relationships, consistency, and small-step success, not just curriculum coverage.
The Role:
- Teach a primary-aged cohort with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles
- Focus on core skills development (literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills)
- Create a calm, consistent, and engaging classroom environment
- Work closely with SEN staff, therapists, and pastoral teams to support holistic development
You:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in primary teaching, SEND, or SEMH settings (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Able to adapt teaching style to meet a wide range of needs
- Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Small class sizes with strong in-class support
- Highly supportive leadership team and clear behaviour systems
- Opportunity to make a genuine, measurable impact on pupil progress
- Focus on personal development as well as academic outcomes
- Accessible locations across Suffolk and North Essex
