A friendly and forward-thinking primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Primary Teacher for a one-year fixed-term contract beginning in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Primary Teacher to join a school with a strong sense of community, high aspirations for every pupil and a commitment to delivering an engaging, knowledge-rich curriculum. Staff work collaboratively, sharing planning and best practice to ensure children receive an outstanding educational experience.

The successful Primary Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 3 class, supporting pupils as they make the important transition into Key Stage 2 while developing confidence, independence and resilience.

As a Primary Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive
• Monitor progress using assessment to inform teaching and targeted support
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and collaborative projects

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has recent experience teaching within a UK primary school
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong curriculum knowledge
• Has high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement
• Is reflective, adaptable and committed to continuous professional development
