We are seeking an enthusiastic Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) for a long-term position starting September 2026 at a vibrant partner school in Watford. Spanning Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, this modern primary school offers a collaborative atmosphere where every student is empowered to succeed. We need a forward-thinking educator who can design adaptive learning plans, lead classroom teams effectively, and foster a warm space where children achieve their full potential.
Your Responsibilities
- Adapted Lesson Design: Formulate, differentiate, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with National Curriculum standards to suit diverse learning speeds and capabilities.
- Interactive Core Teaching: Seamlessly integrate modern phonics frameworks, creative writing tasks, and practical numeracy methods into daily instruction.
- Classroom Team Guidance: Lead and support classroom Teaching Assistants to maintain a well-structured, safe, and positive learning space.
- Pupil Progress Assessment: Use formative assessment protocols to track individual learning milestones, evaluate growth, and celebrate success.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner regularly with the SENCO, key stage leads, and senior leadership to provide targeted support for SEND and EAL pupils.
- Parental Engagement: Maintain clear, empathetic, and constructive communication with parents and carers to build a strong home-school partnership.
What You''ll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. Open to both experienced teachers and exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with UK primary school experience.
- Pedagogical Knowledge: A solid understanding of adaptive teaching strategies, primary milestone expectations, and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Resilient & Calm Demeanour: A patient, grounded approach capable of leading classrooms confidently and keeping pupils focused.
