Full-Time Primary Teacher Year 1 Class Okehampton GSL Education are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Primary Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Okehampton. This full-time position is within a Year 1 class and is set to commence in September 2025. The school is seeking a committed educator with at least one year of experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (KS1), who is passionate about fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for young learners. Key Responsibilities of the Primary Teacher: Deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils. Plan and implement differentiated learning activities aligned with the KS1 curriculum. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support. Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child s development. Participate in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development. Stay informed about best practices and developments in primary education. Requirements for the Primary Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Minimum of one year s experience teaching within KS1. Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
