About the role and school

Teach Plus are currently recruiting for reliable and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in Brent.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Primary Supply Teacher looking for flexibility, variety and the opportunity to work across different school environments.

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be expected to confidently take responsibility for the classroom, deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Assignments may range from day-to-day cover to longer-term opportunities.

The schools we work with are looking for Primary Supply Teachers who can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons using existing school planning.
• Take responsibility for classroom management throughout the school day.
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Adapt to different year groups and school settings.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Communicate effectively with school staff.
• Provide continuity of learning during teacher absence.
• Complete appropriate classroom handover or feedback.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status is essential.
• Previous UK primary teaching experience.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Ability to confidently teach across different year groups.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable.
