Position: Primary Teacher – Supply
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £130–£170 per day DOE

Cover People are looking to speak with Primary Teachers who are available for supply work across Stockport. We have opportunities for teachers seeking flexible day-to-day work as well as those interested in short-term placements.

Supply teaching allows you to work around your own availability while gaining experience across a selection of primary schools. You may be covering for staff absence, supporting schools during busy periods or stepping into a class for a short-term booking.

We''re looking for teachers who can quickly settle into a new school, establish positive relationships with pupils and deliver lessons that keep learning on track.

As a supply teacher, you could be responsible for:

• Taking full responsibility for a class during the school day
• Delivering lessons in line with the school''s plans and curriculum
• Creating a positive and well-managed learning environment
• Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
• Managing behaviour in accordance with school procedures
• Working alongside teaching assistants and other school staff
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged and make effective use of lesson time
• Leaving feedback for the class teacher where appropriate

You will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience within a UK primary school
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum
• Strong classroom management skills
• Confidence working with different year groups
• The ability to adapt quickly to new schools and classes
• A dependable and positive approach to teaching

Both experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.
