Job Title: KS1/KS2 Teacher

Location: Harrogate

Salary: MPS1-UPS3

Job Type: Full time

Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1/KS2 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a primary school located in the heart of Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on pupils'' progress and attainment.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.

Curriculum and Assessment

  • Use a range of assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress.
  • Track pupil data and contribute to school-wide monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare pupils for statutory assessments (e.g., SATs in KS2).

Pupil Support and Well-being

  • Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
  • Identify and support pupils with additional needs, liaising with SENCO and external agencies where appropriate.
  • Maintain high expectations for behavior and attitudes to learning.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/carers about pupil progress and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.

Classroom and Resource Management

  • Organize and maintain a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Ensure resources are used effectively and safely.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Professional Development

  • Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
  • Contribute to school improvement initiatives and curriculum development.
  • Stay informed about educational research, policy, and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome to apply)
  • A commitment to inclusive education and pupil well-being
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
