We are working in partnership with an independent SEND educator to recruit a passionate and dedicated Primary SEND Teacher for a brand-new school opening in Huddersfield this September. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a nurturing, inclusive setting from the ground up.

About the role
You will deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with a range of SEND needs. The focus is on supporting each child to make meaningful progress from their individual starting points within a calm, structured and supportive environment.

You will:

• Plan and deliver tailored learning across a broad primary curriculum
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs
• Teach core skills including phonics, reading, writing and maths
• Build independence, confidence and engagement in learning
• Work closely with support staff, families and external professionals
• Contribute to EHCP targets, IEPs and progress tracking

About you

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with primary-aged pupils and SEND
• Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
