Primary SEND PPA Cover Teacher

Job Title: PPA/SEND Teacher Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester Start Date: Monday 5th October 2026 or ASAP Contract Type: Full-time Pay Rate: 1,000- 1,450 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm/4:00pmAbout the School: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND Teacher to provide PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover across a well-established mixed KS1-KS2 setting, where all pupils are working below the national curriculum. The pupils supported have a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, autism, and social, emotional and mental health needs. Some pupils also have visual impairments, although these are not their primary area of need. Many learners are at an early stage of communication development and use a variety of approaches, including Signalong, PODD, PECS, and other alternative and augmentative communication methods.About the Role:Deliver high-quality, personalised lessons across classes during PPA cover, planning and preparing engaging lesson content in advanceAdapt and differentiate planning to meet EHCP outcomes, developmental milestones, and sensory requirementsSupport pupils'' holistic development-academic, social, emotional, and communication skills-during cover sessionsLiaise closely with class teachers, the SENCO, learning support staff, therapists, and families to ensure a consistent and effective approachFeed back on pupil engagement and ..... full job details .....
