Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (KS2)I am working with a fantastically well-run, friendly primary school in Tameside that is looking to appoint a temporary SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference to the educational journey of children with additional needs while working within a highly supportive and inclusive school environment.What you''ll be doing:Providing dedicated support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within Key Stage 2 classroomsWorking closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning and intervention programmesSupporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them achieve their academic, social and emotional goalsAdapting learning activities and resources to meet individual pupil needsPromoting confidence, independence and positive engagement in learningSupporting the development of communication, social and emotional skills through positive interactionsMonitoring pupil progress and contributing to assessments and review meetings where appropriateEncouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environmentWho we''re looking for:Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a primary school settingKnowledge of a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental ..... full job details .....
