OverviewAre you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary special school in Sutton Coldfield. We are seeking experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistants who are available for supply and long-term opportunities.
The SchoolThe school provides tailored support to pupils aged 4–11 years with a wide range of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties. Every child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The staff are committed to helping each pupil thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
Provide individualised and small-group support to pupils with diverse needs.
Assist in delivering engaging, accessible lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
Help create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to help pupils reach their full potential.
About You / Qualifications
Experienced in supporting children with SEND, ideally within a school setting (3–6 months minimum).
Knowledgeable about strategies to support children with ASD and learning difficulties.
Patient, resilient, and compassionate.
Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Committed to promoting independence and celebrating every achievement.
