About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Isleworth. The successful candidate will be supporting two pupils with SEN needs: one in Year 3 (AM) and another in Year 2 (PM). Both pupils have autism, with one being non-verbal, and require consistent 1:1 support to help them thrive in their learning and daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for two pupils with autism, adapting approaches to suit their individual needs

• Work with a Year 3 pupil in the mornings and a Year 2 pupil in the afternoons

• Support the non-verbal pupil using alternative communication strategies and personalised learning tools

• Implement personalised plans and tailored curricula in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO

• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development

• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and outside professionals to ensure continuity of support

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly autism (experience with non-verbal pupils desirable)

• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children in a classroom setting

• Ability to adapt and differentiate learning to meet individual needs

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

• A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
