The Role

As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, supporting pupils'' academic and personal development, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Depending on the role and year group, your responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Teaching across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils.

  • Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress.

  • Providing appropriate support and challenge to ensure pupils reach their full potential.

  • Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other members of staff.

  • Maintaining high expectations of pupil behaviour, achievement and personal development.

  • Taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of lessons where required.

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs and adapting teaching approaches where appropriate.

  • Participating in staff meetings, planning sessions and other school activities as required.

  • Following school safeguarding procedures and maintaining the highest standards of child protection.



About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting.

  • Experience teaching Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.

  • A strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children''s development.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.

  • A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

ECTs are welcome to apply, as well as experienced teachers looking for flexible or longer-term opportunities.



DBS Requirement

Due to the nature of the role, candidates will be required to have an Enhanced DBS suitable for working with children.

Ideally, your DBS will be registered on the DBS Update Service.

If you do not currently have a suitable Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, you must be willing to obtain one at your own cost as part of the recruitment process, subject to the applicable DBS requirements.
