Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Hourly Rate: £18.62 Location: MorecambeJob Type: 1 Year Temporary Contract (0.8)Days: Monday - Thursday, 08:30 - 15:30Start date: 1st September 2026We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Morecambe. This role offers the flexibility of having Fridays off or working an additional ad-hoc supply day. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across different year groups, with responsibilities for whole class teaching and planning in line with the national curriculum.Day-to-day of the role:Work across various year groups within the school, adapting to the needs of different classes.Take on whole class teaching responsibilities during the week.Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with the national curriculum; dedicated planning time will be provided.Support the development and learning of students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the academic and social development of students.Required Skills and Qualifications:Qualified Teaching Assistant status with HLTA certification.Experience in a primary school setting, capable of managing whole class teaching.Strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching methods.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing classroom environments.Commitment to professional ..... full job details .....
