Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Working Pattern: Thursday and FridayHours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (1-hour lunch break)We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school team for two days per week. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school and will be confident leading learning activities and providing class cover when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver planned lessons and learning activities to whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils.Provide class cover in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.Support pupils to make progress across the curriculum and achieve their individual targets.Work closely with teachers to plan, prepare, and evaluate learning activities.Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.Deliver intervention programmes to support academic, social, and emotional development.Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.Essential RequirementsHLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level.Experience within a primary school setting.Confidence in managing a classroom and delivering lessons independently.Strong behaviour management skills.Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.Ability to work flexibly and use initiative to ..... full job details .....
