This role is ideal for a compassionate, patient, and proactive individual who is committed to supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential in a mainstream primary classroom.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needsWork closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans and strategiesSupport the pupil''s academic, social, and emotional developmentAssist with behaviour management using positive reinforcement and agreed strategiesHelp the pupil access the curriculum and remain engaged during lessonsMonitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and SENCOFoster independence while offering appropriate levels of supportSupport transitions and unstructured times (e.g. break/lunch) where requiredPerson SpecificationEssential:Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary school settingStrong experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupilsGood understanding of ..... full job details .....
