The Role:
As a Primary Academic Mentor, you will support KS2 pupils who need additional help with their learning. You will deliver 1:1 and small-group academic support, helping pupils strengthen their understanding, stay focused and take pride in their progress. You will also assist with general classroom duties, helping the teacher keep lessons purposeful, organised and inclusive.
 
The Candidate:
This role will suit a creative graduate who can bring patience, structure and encouragement into the classroom. You should be confident breaking learning down into simple steps and helping pupils feel more capable, especially when they find work challenging. This is a strong opportunity for someone considering primary teaching or a wider career in education.
 
Requirements
- 2:2 degree or above in a creative subject.
- A genuine interest in supporting KS2 pupils academically.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain ideas clearly.
- A patient, encouraging approach to helping pupils overcome learning barriers.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
