Pricing Director, CRS

Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) is a division within MandG Life with a remit to design and deliver bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes. Due to ongoing success and a strong opportunity set, the team is adding headcount in a number of areas.

CRS has ambitious new business targets and is looking for exceptional people who will help deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading end-to-end pricing for BPAs and other de risking solutionsWorking with colleagues from across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management and structuring workstreams into pricing projectsSupporting senior stakeholders across MandG Life with technical analysis, strategy, business planning and ad hoc queriesSupporting distribution and transaction management colleagues with the production of high quality client deliverables and wider relationship management activitiesLeading the development of new and enhanced modelling capability, including tech solutions across the CRS pricing infrastructureManage commercial outsourcing arrangementsLeading the ongoing pricing development of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product linesLeading Pricing projects run in partnership with the Treasury and Investment Office, Finance Strategy and Finance Reporting teamsStudy mentoring and wider development support to junior team membersOpportunity but not requirement for line management

Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Commercially minded Actuary with exceptional technical skillsExperience of bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, or life insurance balance sheet management requiredUnderstanding of UK DB pensions valuableUnderstanding of Solvency II/UK for life insurance, in particular balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy and ALM valuableExperience of developing/structuring and pricing institutional insurance products valuableUnderstanding of non-standard capital and reinsurance structures valuableAmbitious and self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative/prioritise workload to strict deadlinesStrong communication and presentation skills
