Pricing Actuary – Specialty Lines (Reinsurance Broking)Are you an actuary who’s ready to step beyond traditional number-crunching and into a fast-paced, client-facing reinsurance broking environment? This is your chance to apply your analytical expertise while being right at the heart of commercial conversations with some of the biggest names in the industry.

You’ll join a sociable, ambitious Specialty Lines team within a leading global reinsurance broker, working across lines such as marine, energy, terrorism and political risk. From day one, you’ll be contributing to client projects, supporting tenders and helping shape innovative risk solutions.

What you’ll be doing (day to day)

Supporting client projects: pricing reinsurance portfolios and products, renewal work, benchmarking and trend analysis.

Developing new models and approaches from emerging risks to unmodelled perils.

Conducting studies on market innovations and client strategies.

Advising clients by presenting your analysis and contributing to discussions alongside brokers.

Being involved in renewals, tenders and ad-hoc projects throughout the year, giving you variety in your role.

Combining technical analytics with the commercial side of broking ensuring insights drive meaningful conversations with clients.

About you

Nearly/newly qualified or fully qualified Actuary (strong part-qualified candidates considered).

Background in reinsurance and/or specialty lines appreciated but not essential.

Curious, confident, and not afraid to challenge assumptions or push back when needed.

Strong communicator who enjoys being in front of clients, not just behind the models.

Skilled in analytics with an interest in applying technical solutions to commercial problems.
