This is a client-facing, project-based role focused on pricing and profitability analytics within a consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
Leading and supporting
pricing and profitability projects
across a diverse client base (Lloyd’s, London Market, Commercial, Reinsurance, and Specialty lines).
Delivering
technical actuarial analysis
including rate reviews, price optimisation, portfolio modelling, and underwriting support.
Advising clients on
pricing strategy, underwriting profitability, and capital/claims interactions .
Using tools such as
Python, R, SQL, and Emblem
to develop and enhance pricing models.
Presenting findings and recommendations clearly to clients, bridging technical detail with commercial insights.
Skills and Experience
Nearly/newly qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent)
Strong technical skills with
Excel, SQL, Python, R
Proven experience working in
London Market, Lloyd’s, Commercial, or Specialty pricing
(personal lines experience also valued).
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex results to non-actuarial stakeholders.
