Job Title: Pressure Tester
Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Hourly Rate: -13.00 - -13.50 (depending on experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pressure Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pressure and leak tests on fabricated components such as expansion joints, pressure vessels, and metal hose assemblies. This role is essential to ensuring product safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate pressure testing equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
- Accurately record and report test results.
- Identify and document any defects or non-conformances.
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in pressure testing or a similar mechanical testing role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with pressure gauges, leak detection tools, and test tanks.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in pressure fabrication or HVAC component testing.
- Knowledge of PED, ASME, or EN standards.
