Press Toolmaker

Red Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Tool Maker to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Tool Maker to join a busy tool room, working on the manufacture, maintenance and repair of precision press tools used in high-volume production. Key Responsibilities: Building, maintaining and repairing press tools Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and refurbishment of tooling Diagnosing and repairing tooling faults to minimise production downtime Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Operating conventional tool room machinery, including milling, turning and grinding equipment Supporting production with tool changeovers and breakdowns Ensuring all tooling is maintained to the highest quality standards Following Health and Safety procedures at all times Requirements: Time-served Tool Maker or recognised engineering apprenticeship Previous experience building and maintaining press tools Competent using manual milling, turning and grinding machines Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable: Experience with Wire EDM (wire erosion) CNC machining experience Background in precision engineering, metal pressings or toolmaking Benefits: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum Four-day working week Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 17:30 Company pension ..... full job details .....
