About the Role

Based in Alcester, this permanent Press Setter role sits within a manufacturing business and offers £29,000 to £30,000 annually. Working hours follow a day shift pattern: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30, with Friday finishing at 12:30. Duties include configuring and running presses according to job card instructions, adjusting tool shut height, stroke, tonnage, dwell and lubrication, plus using hand tools, air tools and measuring instruments safely. The successful candidate will perform in-process checks so components satisfy quality requirements, keep accurate WIP records on the MRP system, and contribute to root cause analysis, continuous improvement and 5S exercises. Applicants need one to two years' relevant experience in aerospace, engineering or manufacturing settings.

Opportunity for an experienced Press Setter / Operator to join an Alcester based Manufacturing business on a permanent basis.
The role:
Set up and operate presses in line with procedures and job card instructions
Adjust and control press parameters (tool shut height, stroke, tonnage, dwell, lubrication)
Use air tools, hand tools and measuring equipment safely
Carry out in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality standards
Maintain accurate WIP records in the MRP system
Support root cause analysis, continuous improvement and 5S activities
What we're looking for:
1-2 years' experience in aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or machine setting/operating
Familiar with a range of presses and able quality and manufactruing standards
Positive "can do" attitude
The role is based in Alcester so is easily commutable from Redditch, Stratford upon Avon, Worcester, Bromsgrove, Birmingham.
