Press Operator Bradford Permanent 3-Shift Rotation - 6-2 2 6 Night Shift % An established manufacturing business in Bradford is looking to recruit an experienced Press Operator to join its busy Press Shop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sheet metal press experience who is confident with machine operation, tool changes, setting and quality inspection. The Role As a Press Operator, you will safely operate and set sheet metal press machinery, producing components accurately to required production and quality standards. Working within an established manufacturing team, the Press Operator will carry out tool changes and basic machine setting, monitor production output and complete first-off and in-process quality inspections. You will work from engineering drawings, specifications and production documentation, using measuring equipment including verniers and micrometers where required. The successful Press Operator will also be responsible for identifying quality issues, completing production documentation, carrying out routine machine checks and reporting tooling or maintenance requirements. Health and Safety, housekeeping and 5S will form an important part of the position, alongside reducing waste, downtime and scrap and contributing towards continuous improvement.
