Press Brake Setter Operator

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Press Brake Setter / Operator on behalf of our client based in the Sudbury area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business, where you will be responsible for setting and operating Amada press brake machinery to produce high-quality sheet metal components. The successful candidate will work from engineering drawings, ensuring products are manufactured accurately, safely and to the highest quality standards whilst meeting production deadlines. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate Amada press brake machines to manufacture sheet metal components. Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders and production documentation. Select, install and align the correct press brake tooling, including punches and dies. Program and edit bending programmes directly at the machine interface. Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections using measuring equipment such as callipers and tape measures. Adjust machine settings and offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality. Identify and resolve basic machine, tooling or material issues to minimise downtime. Perform routine machine maintenance and daily housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Work flexibly across other manufacturing departments when required to support production demands. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company Health and Safety procedures.
