Press Brake Operative

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components.This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a solid understanding of fabrication processes. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic environment.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate press brake machinery according to specifications and production schedulesRead and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bending requirementsAdjust machine settings to achieve precise bends and anglesInspect finished components for quality, ensuring they meet specified tolerancesPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake equipmentUtilise hand tools, tooling, and other fabrication equipment as neededAssist with material handling, including loading sheet metal onto machines and organising finished productsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulationsSkillsProven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or related manufacturing rolesMechanical knowledge of press brake machinery and tooling systemsFamiliarity with sheet metal work and the use of hand tools for assembly and finishing tasksBasic mathematical skills for measurements, angles, and calculations required during setupAbility to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accuratelyStrong understanding of safety procedures related to metal fabrication equipmentGood organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control purposesAbility to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWorking days / aftersIND123
