Premises Officer (Handy Person / Fabric Engineer) Location: Derby (Static Site - No Travel) Salary: £27,028 per annum Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week) No Call-Outs / No Weekends Contract: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role Looking for a stable, daytime maintenance role with a great work-life balance? We are hiring a Premises Officer to manage planned and reactive building maintenance at a single, static site in Derby with zero late-night call-outs or weekend work. Key Responsibilities Fabric Maintenance: Painting, decorating, fault finding, and general timber repairs. Compliance and Checks: Monthly water tap temperatures, flushing, fire alarm/lighting checks, and meter readings. Site Support: Subcontractor supervision, stock ordering, porterage, and minor landscape upkeep. Health and Safety: Assisting with site HandS compliance, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS). Requirements Time-served or qualified tradesperson (Fabric / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer). Practical experience in building repairs with basic plumbing/electrical knowledge.
