Premises Assistant - SchoolsLocations: Wigan, Standish, Newton-le-Willows, Greater ManchesterPay: 16.25 - 17.25 per hourAbout the Role We are seeking reliable and proactive Premises Assistants to support schools across the Wigan, Standish, Newton-le-Willows, and wider Greater Manchester areas. This role is essential in ensuring that the school environment is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and facilitiesSetting up classrooms, halls, and meeting areas for school activities and eventsCarrying out basic repairs, decorating, and general DIY tasksMonitoring site security, including opening/closing the premises and ensuring the safety of all buildingsSupporting cleaning and waste management as requiredReporting and responding to maintenance issues promptlyEnsuring health and safety standards are maintained across the siteWhat We''re Looking ForExperience in a premises, site, caretaker, or maintenance role (school-based experience desirable but not essential)Basic DIY/maintenance skills and a practical, hands-on approachStrong awareness of health and safety and safeguarding in a school environmentGood communication and teamwork skillsFlexibility and reliability to support the school''s needsBenefitsCompetitive hourly pay: 16.24 - 17.25Ongoing opportunities within local schoolsSupportive working environment where your contribution makes a ..... full job details .....
