Pre-School Lead Teacher/Room Leader
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pre-School Room Leader to join a well-established private nursery in Lambeth.-
This is a full-time leadership position within a high-quality Early Years setting and is ideal for an experienced Level 3 practitioner who is passionate about leading a pre-school room and delivering outstanding EYFS provision. The nursery offers excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression within a supportive and child-centred environment.
You will be:

Leading the daily practice within the pre-school room and ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and care

Supporting, mentoring, and developing practitioners within the room to maintain excellent EYFS practice

Planning and delivering creative and engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

Acting as a key person and developing strong, positive relationships with children and their families

Monitoring children''s progress through observations, assessments, and effective next-step planning

Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and ensuring compliance with EYFS requirements

Working collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals to support children''s individual needs

Supporting the effective running of the room and contributing towards ongoing improvements across the nursery
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous experience working within a pre-school room, ideally as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child development, and team support is essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills are required.
