Pre Sales Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 + uncapped commission and awesome employee benefits 

Manchester – Hybrid 2/3 days a week in the office 

Are you a a Sales Engineer or Pre Sales Engineer who is ready to take the next step in your technical pre sales career? Fancy joining a growing IBM Partner and IT Managed Services business, where you’ll work alongside experienced sales and technical specialists, helping organisations solve real technology challenges? 

This role will suit a Technical individual who loves getting involved in the Sales process, someone with previous experience bridging the gap between the client and Sales. You may have previously worked in the role of Pre-Sales Consultant, Pre Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Solutions Engineer, Technical Pres Sales, Technical Consultant etc. You’ll play a key role in winning new business. You’ll lead technical discovery sessions, customer assessments and workshops, translating business challenges into compelling technology recommendations across Cyber Security, Data Protection, Cloud, Data Centre Transformation and Software.

You’ll support proposals and RFPs, deliver engaging presentations and demonstrations, and act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey. You’ll work closely with sales, engineering and service delivery teams to design solutions that genuinely address customer needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical IT background who wants to develop their career in pre-sales. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of technologies and customer environments, with the added opportunity to work with IBM technology and solutions.

We’re looking for someone technically curious, commercially aware and confident communicating complex ideas in a simple, engaging way to external customers. Previous pre-sales experience is advantageous, but a strong technical background combined with customer-facing experience and a genuine desire to develop could be equally valuable.
