Pre-Construction Engineer (Electrical)Our client is a leading engineering contractor delivering electrical infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer (Electrical) to support the development of energy and power infrastructure schemes from initial enquiry through to project handover.This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, commercial and operational teams, ensuring projects are technically compliant, commercially robust and ready for successful delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesReview client specifications, technical documentation, drawings and connection requirements for tenders and proposals.Identify technical risks, scope gaps, assumptions, exclusions and compliance requirements.Develop electrical scopes of work covering HV and LV systems, protection, control, earthing, containment and cabling.Produce compliance and deviation schedules and manage technical queries throughout the tender process.Complete quantity take-offs and support project cost estimates.Work closely with commercial teams to develop accurate and competitive tender submissions.Prepare subcontract packages, including testing, commissioning and quality requirements.Define project interfaces, responsibilities and inspection requirements.Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and support technical evaluations.Support project handovers by communicating key assumptions, risks and technical ..... full job details .....
