PQ Accountant

Our client is a Global Financial Markets Trading Company, they are looking for a Part Qualified Accountant with 1 to 2 years Accounting experience post graduation preferably within Audit. It would be preferable to have corporate accounts exp but is not essential. The role is exceptionally varied, with day-to-day accounting activities. Responsibilities: Support month-end and year-end closing activities Assist with cost analysis and respond to queries Prepare and submit statutory returns (e.g., statistical reports) as required Act as the banking and system liaison, managing day-to-day matters with external partners Accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations. Accurately process and maintain ledger entries in SAP Business ByDesign and other accounting systems Take ownership of assigned tasks and work proactively to resolve issues Provide general assistance across the Finance team as needed e.g. preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance requirements Support new business projects and initiatives from a finance perspective Contribute to process improvement projects and system enhancements Participate in resolving complex accounting challenges and ad-hoc queries The ideal candidate should be proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented, taking full ownership of responsibilities, eager to build expertise, and able to manage tasks independently.
