PQ Accountant

Our client is a Global Financial Markets Trading Company, they are looking for a Part Qualified Accountant with 1 to 2 years Accounting experience post graduation preferably within Audit. It would be preferable to have corporate accounts exp but is not essential.The role is exceptionally varied, with day-to-day accounting activities.Responsibilities:Support month-end and year-end closing activitiesAssist with cost analysis and respond to queriesPrepare and submit statutory returns (e.g., statistical reports) as requiredAct as the banking and system liaison, managing day-to-day matters with external partnersAccounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.Accurately process and maintain ledger entries in SAP Business ByDesign and other accounting systemsTake ownership of assigned tasks and work proactively to resolve issuesProvide general assistance across the Finance team as needed e.g. preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance requirementsSupport new business projects and initiatives from a finance perspectiveContribute to process improvement projects and system enhancementsParticipate in resolving complex accounting challenges and ad-hoc queriesThe ideal candidate should be proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented, taking full ownership of responsibilities, eager to build expertise, and able to manage tasks independently.
