PPI & Engagement Manager

Job summary
An Inclusion and Engagement Research Lead is sought to support the NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) and Clinical Research Facility (CRF) in delivering Patient and Public Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PPIEP) and Equality and Diversity Inclusion (EDI) objectives. The postholder will work to embed the patient voice in clinical trials research across Cheshire and Merseyside and, given the seniority of the role, will work autonomously on behalf of the CRDC and CRF and represent the Clinical Directors at a national level.Main duties of the jobPlan and deliver the CRDC and CRF Public Participation Inclusion strategy to ensure that the public can influence the project.Develop and chair an advisory board involving people with lived experience of trial participation and other relevant networks to ensure citizen perspectives are considered in CRDC and CRF outcomes.Collaborate with public engagement groups across the Cheshire and Merseyside region (e.g., Innovation Agency, Liverpool Health Partners, the Applied Research Collaboration) to share and scale best practice and enable knowledge transfer for wider public benefit.Communicate findings to peers, policy makers, stakeholders and opinion leaders using audience-appropriate methods, including lay summaries and academic publications.Design and conduct research/evaluation studies, including community conversations with local residents and public perceptions of the CRDC/CRF work and public engagement activities.Deliver podcasts and other engagement materials focused on clinical trials and the use of health data for trial purposes, ensuring both public and health professional voices are heard.Co-produce communication materials.Produce local and national Annual Reports, Staff Newsletters, and CRDC and UKCRDC Network website content.About us
