Could you be the person who makes that difference?Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Houghton Regis that is looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils who need a different approach to education.This is an opportunity to work with children and young people who may have experienced challenges in mainstream education, including those with SEND, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviour.You''ll play an important role in helping pupils re-engage with learning, develop confidence and build positive relationships in a structured and supportive environment.What will you be doing?Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groupsHelping pupils manage their emotions, behaviour and engagement with learningBuilding positive relationships and acting as a consistent, trusted adultWorking alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning activitiesUsing positive behaviour management strategies to encourage progressHelping create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environmentWho are we looking for?Someone with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs or challenging behaviourExperience in a PRU, alternative provision, SEMH setting or similar environment would be highly beneficialA patient, resilient and adaptable approachConfidence ..... full job details .....
