Your new role With this PPA cover role in Year 1, you will need to have strong and adaptable classroom skills as you will be covering the class duties for the day, covering the work that the class teacher has done whilst picking up their day-to-day responsibilities. You will need to be able to work independently and use initiative as well as demonstrate resilience when coping with the everyday challenges of working with young children.
