We are looking for a skilled Powertrain Test and Validation Engineer to act as the vital link between design and reality.This role offers a unique opportunity to work across high-spec industry and academic test facilities, combining hands-on technical execution with high-level data analysis.The Role at a GlanceLocation: Dual-site support (Stamford and University of Nottingham test facilities)Duration: Initial 12 months (potential for extension)Working Pattern: Hybrid - up to 5 days on-site during active test periodsPAYE Rate: 16.41 - 28.21 per hour (DOE)Your ImpactAs the key interface between the design team and the test facility, you will ensure the seamless validation of Electrical Powertrain systems (PE + MG). Your day-to-day will involve:Test Management: Leading daily test cell activities, including setup, instrumentation, and execution of complex test requests.Problem Solving: Investigating system failures, identifying root causes through Fault Tree Analysis, and owning resolutions to closure.Data Analysis: Closing the loop between simulation and physical results using MATLAB and Ansys.Collaboration: Working closely with design teams to define validation requirements and managing spare parts/hardware readiness.Reporting: Generating high-quality technical reports and presentations for key stakeholders.What ..... full job details .....
